Ableton Live 5 will support MP3s

One of the most popular gripe amongst all the mashup artists I know is why does Ableton only support WAV files and not MP3s? (well the mashup artists I know that use or thinking of using Ableton).

According to Richard Bluestein's blog, (via Makezine) Ableton 5 will support MP3s, drag and drop audio and instant tempo matching.

Interesting - I might check out Ableton and Acid Pro might just have gotten a big rival (quite a few people are using Ableton to mash up and mix live, but Acid Pro is still king of the booties - but for how long?)

Great for podcasting, mashups, song writing, midi, and live recording.

Funtime Ben and I use it all the time!

    And we loves it!
