Quite an interesting blog called Mashup Preservation Society has popped up reposting a lot of the early mashup albums from 2003-2005.

Even a few of mine on there! Good albums mostly so far, recommended. But how is posting them to a file-sharing site that will probably nuke the files/not stick around really 'preserving' them? I do agree these things need to be preserved though, so full marks for the effort.

My partner in crime at the Parkade, Amanda Shinki aka Miss Cyberpink has created a mashup - and mighty fine it is too - Depeche Mode's Strangelove (Blind mix) vs Cameo's Word Up...I got a preview before she span it at the BootieSL party (which I was at, early Sunday morn with Kirk post-clubbing at Duckie in London! We were a little, err, mashed up appropriately!) and I heartily recommend...especially for those 80's luvverz out there! Also expect to hear it on the show soon.
