This came 3rd in the Crumplbangers Gibberish Challenge set by Peggy_P – well the Total Gibberish version did, which has none of the Doobie Brothers vocals. Tom Johnston drawls so much it’s hard to work out what he’s saying half of the time anyway!
Surprised no-one touched Adriano Celentano’s classic Prisencolinensinainciusol (fun fact: DJNoNo Fave Raffaella Carrà is in that video as a dancer). Adriano is an Italian DJ singing in pretend American English which sounds like English to Italian speakers but is actual total utter gibberish. I love stuff like that, like Japlish where people use another language for the sound of it, not understanding it so it doesn’t make sense.
