Bush of Ghosts (A Deal With The Devil) (Kate Bush vs Ghost)

There aren’t enough Ghost mashups – there are a few – I made at least one, and I know Mashup Whisperer Titus Jones has one as well, but they are definitely undermashed. So what about probably the most overmashed song of 2022 (Running Up That Hill) with another 2022 song one I’ve never heard mashed at all – Darkness At The Heart Of My Love.

So this was started for the current Crumplbangers Challenge. but finished for me as I need to say it. The comment in the MP3 says it all, really. Wave those lighters…then burn the fucking place to the ground.

So I wanted to shift Kate Bush’s hopeful pleas of understanding into a darker place, a desperate one, running into darkness (it almost got called that), a black heart running away to a darker hill. A deal with the Devil, not God. And the fact that the acapella I have doesn’t have the ‘tell we both matter don’t we?’ part makes it even more bleak.
