Another lost track, this time I didn’t want to seem like I was trying to crash in on the death of Fletch (Andy Fletcher) of Depeche Mode. I remade this 2008 mashup by DJ Giac for the podcast then forgot to post it…it’s been 6 months, I think enough time has passed.
`La Ritournelle is a track that has very deep meaning for me, and I’ve wanted to mash it and Tellier’s work for a long time but nothing worked – seems I did so twice as there are two Sebastian Tellier tracks that have never been posting actually, I found another one which I’m also posting here.
tbc aka Instamatic – Silent Ritournelle (For Fletch) (Depeche Mode vs Sébastien Tellier – DJ Giac Reboot)
This is the other Sébastien Tellier track I did, around the same time actually. Not sure why I didn’t post it? Maybe it was too similar to my Marvin Gayle mashup which again is around that time.
This is a track from the Narco soundtrack he did – Le long de la rivière tendre which is really good, mixed with Marvin Gaye’s Mercy Mercy Me.
It’s the sister track to my other two ecological tracks – Turquoise Blues For A Dying Planet (The Quiet Joys Of Hexagons) and the video for What Glimpse Of Us – I will be posting the latter shortly.
It’s definitely influenced by one of my favourite mashups of all time -djrozroz’s La Ritournelle de Marvin.
