What’s the best ever Australian TV series? Neighbours? Home and Away? Young Doctors? Prisoner Cell Block H? The Sullivans? No BLUEY!
It literally is the best Australian thing ever…and DJNoNo wanted to have a go at the current Crumplbangers Discord challenge (EDIT: It won the challenge!) where the theme is use at least one Australian or Kiwi piece of music, and it’s a TOTAL Crumplbanger of the highest order. Of course if you’ve never seen it you won’t know WTF this mashup is about (even the Dancing With Myself is a reference to the opening sequence), and I would say to you: WHY? Go watch it now.
It’s the best thing to come from Oz since the boomerang or Kylie. It’s heartwarming, strange, demented in places, for kids, adults (it is surprisingly adult in places) and inner kids. Both DJNoNo and I are totally obsessed with it atm. Best kids cartoon of current times, and I’d argue one of the best ever.
It’s like Peppa Pig with better parenting and better locale and even better music (each episode has a new style of music, hence the insane number of genres in this, also they slip in classical music sneakily). Also Bandit – Bluey’s dad dancing above – has the best ever Dad dance and I think I might be crushing on a cartoon dog….
But Bingo is my true chaotic form.
P.S. Should be OK for little ones, I’ve checked the lyrics. I intentionally chose a track that was not rude or adult in themes for that exact reason. Bluey deserves better than that!
